washbnb automates luxury linens as a service for Airbnb hosts and other accommodations providers, like the Dubbel Dutch Hotel in Downtown Milwaukee! After finishing 3rd at Summerfest Tech in 2020 after just a few months in business we’ve been riding the highs and lows of the pandemic and the impact on travel. This summer we will be joining techstars as the first ever Milwaukee company accepted into the prestigious accelerator and equity investment program
We’re also excited to announce that we’ve opened our Seed Round via equity crowdfunding platform Wefunder! We aim to democratize startup investing and are thrilled by the opportunity to allow anyone with as little as $100 to be amongst our first investors. Even if you’re not an investor, the campaign page is a great way to learn more about washbnb and follow our journey.
As travel has returned in a big way, we’ve seen 3x revenue growth from existing Airbnb and hotel units and recently signed a deal with Milwaukee based Frontdesk to be the exclusive linen & laundry supplier for all of their units in Milwaukee! We’re busy making our first hires, securing an exclusive linen supply contract, and planning our first expansion market towards the end of summer. We look back at Summerfest Tech 2020 as a turning point in our story, aside from the prize money we’re grateful for the opportunity to pitch and have applied much of the feedback from the judges into our growth plans.
Tip a ScRxipt
The initial growth of Tip a ScRxipt can be credited to the supportive startup and tech ecosystem at home in Milwaukee, WI. That growth was further amplified after receiving the second place prize in the Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition. Since that time, Tip a ScRxipt was accepted into and received a $100K investment from the Northwestern Mutual Black Founder Accelerator (NMBFA) - powered by gener8tor; received first place prize on Project Pitch It; is now a Wisconsin-based Delaware C-Corp; will be launching our MVP pilot this summer, and preparing to close on our $500K pre-seed round of funding.
Tip a ScRxipt is a crowd funded platform used to send or request money when people experience difficulty paying for their needed medications on their own. Tip a ScRxipt provides a social payment app for sending and receiving funds and issues debit cards for people to cover their out-of-pocket expenses only for prescription medication, medical supplies, and medical equipment at pharmacies.
The Proceed.app Team was honored to be chosen as the Grand Prize Winner of Summerfest Tech 2020. Since winning the competition we have seen exponential growth of our inbound leads and have nearly 10x our revenue. Here’s some more information about our product:
Proceed.app makes capturing and distributing knowledge within “hands on” companies like factories and distribution centers easy. Companies use Proceed.app to help them with many challenges they are facing in the workforce today including:
- Developing more efficient on-the-job training programs
- Navigating literacy and language barriers
- Capturing knowledge before employees turnover or retire
Because Proceed.app makes authoring content so easy, leadership can empower employees from any level of the company to create content. This makes it possible to capture knowledge directly from the experts within the company. Companies turn to Proceed.app when they need to transition to a digital ecosystem for their training and knowledge management but can't make sense of the complex and expensive alternative systems.
Otologic Technologies is developing an artificial intelligence-based clinical decision support system to help diagnose ear disease. Our core technology was invented in 2015 at The Ohio State University, and further developed under grant from the National Institutes of Health. Our core technology patent passed examination and was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in March of 2021.
Our initial product release will enable ear exams to be performed via telemedicine to increase access for underserved patient populations, while reducing costs for healthcare providers. The system operates on a software-as-a-service model, available to healthcare providers through their telemedicine platform and electronic medical record system.
We are currently seeking a lead investor for our $500,000 fundraising round, which will support product commercialization
