Chicago-born Taylor Bennett is not just the younger brother of Grammy-winning Chance the Rapper, but he’s carving his own path as an independent music artist, entrepreneur and advocate. His career began in high school when he released his debut mixtape, The Taylor Bennett Show. While still prioritizing his studies over music, Bennett was next able to release his debut studio album in 2015 and sophomore album in 2017 which included a 13-minute short film.

Taylor’s latest EP ‘The American Reject’ is a completion to his trilogy. In 2019, Taylor performed at diverse festivals including Governor’s Ball, Hangout, Outside Lands, Music Midtown, Life is Beautiful, and Austin City Limits. He also headlined Chicago’s Complexcon.

Bennett toured his 2nd album Restoration of an American Idol on a 29-city run that saw him headline and sell out rooms across the country. He has collaborated with A-List acts like Young Thug, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, and more.

Bennet made his Good Morning America debut where he was both interviewed and a musical guest. Taylor has had numerous late-night appearances such as The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Late Show. Taylor started his own record label, Tay Bennett Entertainment.

2019 was a very bright year for Taylor where he played over 15 festivals nationwide.

2020 saw the birth of his second child, Blake and thre beginning of a strong stretch of singles including “Be Yourself Pt. 2”, “Don’t Wait Up” and “Come Alive” (Ft. TheHxliday). Taylor was also featured alongside his brother as part of Facebook Watch’s Black History Month feature.
