Ecuador Manta originally started out as traditional Andean folk band from Ecuador, South America. Over the last fifteen years the band has evolved into a sound best described as Latin Fusion, World Music. Their venue includes, world beats from, The Caribbean, The Middle East, North America and many countries throughout Latin America. Along with the fusion of many rhythms and beats, Ecuador Manta proudly preserves the beauty and sound of the South American panflute, native to their country. Their original sound is unlike other Traditional Andean, South American groups. Ecuador Manta is based out of St. Paul. MN. The group performs primarily in the Midwest during the warmer months and outside of the Midwest during the colder months. They have a splendid reputation nationally and internationally and have been recognized for their originality and superb stage performances. The band attracts and excites all ages and draws in large crowds from many different social and cultural backgrounds making the group a big hit at any many festivals. Their performances include brief histories of the music, dance, choreography, improvisation and encourages audience participation. Ecuador Manta can make the most unlikely audience, dance, move and smile.
